International Day of Awareness of Food Loss and Waste

The International Day of Awareness of Food Loss and Waste is celebrated every year on September 29. It is a day to call to action for both the public and private sectors to prioritize actions and innovations to reduce food loss and waste in the World. This is all geared towards restoring and building back better and resilient-ready food systems. Reducing food losses and waste is of the utmost priority in a world where the number of people affected by hunger has been slowly on the rise since 2014, and tonnes of edible food are lost and/or wasted every day.

World Pharmacist Day

World Pharmacist Day on September 25 is a celebration of every pharmacist, pharmaceutical scientist, and others who are part of this field. Four million people are engaged in this profession around the globe. World Pharmacists Day is thus not only a welcome event, but it is also a crucial holiday to honor the role these guys play in improving global health outcomes. The day is marked by events and activities sponsored by various governmental and non-governmental organizations. Globally, they all have one common goal — to increase awareness about pharmacists and their roles.

National Legwear Day

National Legwear Day, which falls on September 22 each year, is a celebration of everything worn on our legs, including leggings, socks, tights, anklets, sheers, and more. In an age when people are looking for different ways to show off their personalities, legwear in all its different forms, shapes, and colors, has become a unique form of self-expression. Legwear is now a trending topic on the pop culture side too, and cool new bottom wear has regularly been featured across some top fashion magazines worldwide. These pieces of clothing are so popular that there’s even another international holiday for one of them — International Legging Day on October 18. This year, be sure to put on your best looks and strut your legwear in honor of this day.
