Edinburgh Science Festival

The Edinburgh Science Festival is an annual festival organized by the Edinburgh Science Foundation, with the dates varying from year to year. This year, the festival will be held from April 9 to 24. You know what that means — it’s time to get your geek on! This year’s event marks a return to the festival’s family hub at City Art Centre and two major new interactive exhibitions, DataSphere and Consumed, along with a vibrant and varied program of other events for audiences of all age ranges.

The focus will be on everything from personal to planetary health with an emphasis on the urgency of tackling the climate crisis. It will also explore lifeforms, lifecycles, revolutionary ideas, and solutions to global challenges.

Good Deeds Day

Good Deeds Day takes place annually on a chosen Sunday in April — this year, it falls onApril 5. This initiative seeks to promote people giving back to their community however they can. You can volunteer, donate to a charity, or help people in your area whichever way you see fit. The beauty of Good Deeds Day is that there’s no set way to celebrate it. The goal is to help others and do good for your community, fostering a sense of kindness and compassion around us. Acts of charity are never forgotten by their recipients. Spread the love on this holiday.

Dance Marathon Day

Dance Marathon Day is celebrated on March 31 every year. It’s a day when people gather at a social event to dance or walk for an extended period. There are only four rules: keep on moving; don’t sleep; spectators are encouraged, and have fun! This 24-hour event may sound exhausting, but the shared sense of community and camaraderie among dancers are highlighted. What’s more, it’s for a good cause. Dance marathons are mainly fundraising events. There’s no better way of having fun, staying fit, and supporting a good cause than participating in Dance Marathon Day.
