Participating in the Seed Gathering Season, celebrated from September 23 to October 23, should be at the top of your to-do list this autumn. And, oddly, all you have to do on during this holiday is take a walk along your favorite tree path, identify your favorite trees, and possibly bring a seed or two to plant in other places where you want your favorite tree to grow. While these activities sound like a lot of fun, their significance in terms of global ecosystem preservation cannot be overstated. The National Tree Council (N.T.C.) designated this season to stimulate and teach individuals how to harvest trees to conserve existing trees and replenish the population of native trees.
National AKC Responsible Dog Ownership Day

The National A.K.C. Responsible Dog Ownership Day is celebrated every third Saturday of September and this year, it falls on September 20. The day is launched by the American Kennel Club and is designed for pet parents — particularly dog parents, to take a break and reminisce on the commitments they have made to their furry friends. It is a day that encourages people to commit to their loyal dogs and about the obligations we have to our pets. Most partnering organizations who are the stakeholders of National A.K.C. Responsible Dog Ownership Day host this day around the same time, but not necessarily on the same date.
Anniversary of the Coronation of King Mindaugas

The anniversary of the Coronation of King Mindaugas is observed on July 6 each year. The day is also known as Statehood Day and is considered a national holiday. On this holiday, Lithuanians remember their first and only King of Lithuania, Mindaugas, a person who exceeded his era in political strategy, mentality, and spiritual strength.
In 2003, the 750th anniversary of his coronation was celebrated with a series of cultural events, including operas, folk music concerts, folk dances, parades, and festivals. Lithuanians, tourists, children, and adults joined such a grand celebration.
