Marvel employees created National Superhero Day on April 28, 1995 to celebrate everyone’s favorite superhero. This is for superheroes only — we all know villains aren’t deserving of their own day. Still, the idea behind superhero day is to honor those who serve and protect while fighting evil. No matter who your favorite hero is, honoring the real or fictional people that inspire us is a worthwhile cause this April 28.
Workers’ Memorial Day

National Today appreciates the work that has gone into not only building the society we live in, but also bettering it as time goes by, and thus, we are commemorating Workers’ Memorial Day on April 28. All over the world, workers have contributed towards providing and building a society that’s liveable and comfortable. Oftentimes, these workers are away from their families for long periods and face danger at their workplaces due to negligence by their employers in not being provided a safe environment. Because of this lack of concern, workers either die or are often injured and/or maimed irreparably. At times, they also die because of work-related illness. Worker union organizations, therefore, all over the world commemorate the day to not only fight for the rights of workers but also remember those who have passed away.
Administrative Professionals Day

On April 22, we get to celebrate National Administrative Professionals Day! This holiday is always celebrated on the Wednesday of the last full week of April. Although it’s not observed as a public holiday this day is still important and there’s so much to celebrate. This holiday even got its own episode on “The Office.”
