Hubert Lamela is a Miami-based digital storyteller, content producer, and creative director whose career spans fintech, Web3, and brand marketing. A UC Santa Cruz graduate in Film and Digital Media (Dean's Honor List), he served as Head of Production at Coinbase from 2020 to 2022, where he launched the company's first Direct Listing television commercial — reaching more than 80 million impressions — and built Coinbase Learn, an evergreen SEO content library of more than 50 articles. He currently serves as Director of Creative Campaigns at OKX.

Hubert Lamela is a digital storyteller and creative director whose work has consistently sat at the edge of culture, technology, and visual communication. A graduate of UC Santa Cruz with a BA in Film and Digital Media (Dean’s Honor List), Lamela arrived at his career with both the technical fluency and the narrative instinct that high-impact content production demands.
His most visible chapter came at Coinbase, the publicly traded cryptocurrency exchange, where he served as Head of Production from 2020 to 2022. During that period, he directed the company’s first Direct Listing television commercial — a milestone campaign that generated more than 80 million impressions and helped introduce Coinbase to a mainstream financial audience. Equally significant was his role building Coinbase Learn, a content hub of more than 50 evergreen, SEO-optimized articles that educated users on cryptocurrency fundamentals — a project that required him to bridge technical depth with editorial accessibility.
Prior to Coinbase, Lamela built his production and digital media career through early-career work in digital content management and video production, developing the hands-on skills that would later allow him to lead production teams at scale. He has also worked with MoonPay and Chainlink Labs, and currently serves as Director of Creative Campaigns at OKX, one of the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchanges, where his campaigns and content have been featured in Forbes, Bloomberg, Fast Company, and TechCrunch.
