National Cherry Day is celebrated on July 16, making it the perfect summertime celebration. Cherries range from sweet to tart, they come in shades ranging from red to yellow, and you can create a wide variety of dishes, desserts, and drinks with them. We can’t blame George Washington for allegedly chopping down that cherry tree. Today, the U.S. cherry industry produces more than 650 million pounds of tart and sweet cherries each year.
National Support Public Education Day

There’s no doubt that children are the future of any country, and National Support Public Education Day on July 30 aims to raise awareness about this fact. Education is a basic and important right of all human beings. A nation can only hope to move forward in all aspects of life if its citizens are sufficiently educated and learned. By learning about the intricacies of science, technology, social issues, and commerce, people will be able to pinpoint which sectors need improvement and which can lead them to the most advantageous position on the world stage. And thanks to the hundreds of education scholarships available out there, more and more people of all backgrounds can have access to high educational attainment. This is why we should strive to support public education by raising our voices for it.
National Be A Dork Day

The National Be A Dork Day on July 15 has us getting ready to let go of our inhibitions for the day. A dork, by definition, is a person who generally lacks social skills and tends to have eccentric interests and hobbies. Usually, a dork’s fashion sense is also questioned as their outfits tend to be mismatched, ‘ugly,’ or something most people would not prefer to wear. With the advent of technology and the growing exposure and influence of pop culture, dorks have been depicted as a ‘dumb’ group of people who have conventional ‘ugly’ features like buck teeth, acne, and poor eyesight with large-framed glasses. But National Be A Dork Day aims to celebrate the dork in all of us!
