National Sportsmanship Day shifts to the first Tuesday of March in 2027, established to celebrate sportsmanship — the competitive ethic of fair play, respect for opponents, and gracious winning and losing. National Old Stuff Day was established to celebrate old things — antiques, heirlooms, and retro items — and to resist the cultural impulse to replace the merely dated with the newest version.
