Background

Tyler Posey was born to Cyndi Terese Garcia and actor-writer John Posey in Santa Monica, California on October 18, 1991. He grew up in Santa Clarita, California with two brothers and a sister. On his mother’s side, he is of Mexican origin. In the early 2000s, he began working in both television and film. He made his acting debut in the American action film “Collateral Damage” (2002), in which he played a supporting role. Later the same year, he starred in the romantic comedy “Maid in Manhattan,” in which he played as the son of Jennifer Lopez’s female lead. Around this time, he began playing a minor role in the American television series “Doc.”

Posey also appeared in episodes of “Sue Thomas: FB eye,” “Into the West,” “Smallville,” and “Brothers and Sisters” as a minor character. He also played a key role in the fantasy film “Veritas: Prince of Truth,” which was released in 2007. He participated in numerous episodes of the American family drama T.V. series “Lincoln Heights” in 2009. He had a brief role in the American film “Legendary” about an ambitious wrestler in 2010. Posey began acting in the popular T.V. series “Teen Wolf” in 2011, portraying the teenager Scott, for whom he is well known. The series, which debuted on June 5, 2011, has garnered great reviews and has been highly popular, particularly among youths. “White Frog” (2012), “Workaholics” (2013), and “Ridiculousness” (2015) are among his other acting credits.

Posey was previously engaged to Seana Gorlick, with whom he had a childhood relationship. However, their engagement was called off in October 2014 for undisclosed reasons. He revealed in an October 2020 interview that he began consuming marijuana at the age of 12 and developed an addiction. He also revealed in October 2020 that he had hooked up with males and prefers not to label his sexuality. Posey came out as queer and sexually fluid in July 2021.
