Tom Holland

Background

Tom Holland is a well-known English actor who was born and raised in Kingston upon Thames in southwest London. From a young age, Holland showed an interest in performing, especially dancing, and his mother signed him up for dance classes. At age nine, Holland was dancing for Nifty Feet Dance School in Wimbledon. After two years of training in ballet, tap dancing, and acrobatics, Holland got a role in “Billy Elliot the Musical.” When Holland left the theater show in 2010, he decided to audition for a movie, and eventually got his first acting role in the flick “The Impossible” alongside Naomi Watts in 2012.

Holland starred in a few more films before his breakthrough role when he was cast as Spider-Man in the movie “Spider-Man: Homecoming” in 2017. His deal with Marvel Comics included a six-picture deal and is still ongoing. The sequels he filmed for the franchise, titled “Far From Home” (2019), and “No Way Home” (2021) each made over $1 billion worldwide, and the latter became the highest-grossing film of the year in 2021. Apart from his “Spider-Man” success, Holland has also starred as the lead in notable films, such as “Chaos Walking” and “Cherry.”

In 2022, Holland has a highly-anticipated movie coming out called “Uncharted,” which is based on a video game of the same name. Holland has had an extremely successful career so far and boasts a British Academy Film Award as well as three Saturn Awards. He also holds a loyal fanbase on social media, with over 66 million followers on Instagram and over seven million Twitter followers. Holland has starred in over 36 television series and films to date, and we have no doubt that we have not seen the last of the multi-talented actor.
