Chittaphon Leechaiyapornkul, popularly known as Ten, was born on February 27, 1996, in Bangkok, Thailand. Ten is a household name within and outside the K-pop and C-pop genres. His style, swag, and undeniable talent have earned him fans worldwide. He is a Pisces of Thai-Chinese descent and attended Shrewsbury International School before fame. His interest in music was piqued early, and when he turned 15, he competed on ‘Teen Superstar,’ a Thai show. He competed under the stage name T.N.T. and won, gaining the leverage to sign a contract with an entertainment agency called Starship Entertainment.
Ten then joined S.M. Entertainment in 2013 after being selected in a company audition. He debuted on “EXO. 90:2014,” a K-pop show released in 2014. By 2016, the S.M. sub-unit, N.C.T. U, part of the group N.C.T., was formed with Ten and four other members. The boy group released their first single, ‘The 7th Sense,’ in April 2016. In 2017, Ten released his first single as a solo artist titled ‘Dream in a Dream.’ In April 2018, on the second season of “S.M. Station,” Ten released the single ‘New Heroes.’ It peaked at numbers four and five on the Billboard World Digital Song Sales. In the same year, Ten joined WayV, the China-based unit of N.C.T., and by January 17, 2019, the group released their first E.P. titled “The Vision.”
Ten went on to join the male K-pop supergroup SuperM in 2019. The group released its eponymous debut E.P. in October 2019. SuperM ranked number one on U.S. Billboard 200. Following their success, the group toured Europe, North America, and Latin America from November 2019 to February 2020. In August 2021, Ten released his third solo single, ‘Paint Me Naked.’
