Background

Jacob Lee-Nicholas Sullenger, known professionally as Jawny, formerly Johnny Utah, is an American singer who has won the hearts of his fans. He’s a Capricorn and was born in the San Francisco Bay Area in the ‘60s. Sullenger’s interest in music spurred early on, and at age six, he started learning to play the guitar. In his early teens, Sullenger was already composing music, and although he attended college for a while, he dropped out so that he could pursue his passion.

In 2016, Sullenger moved from New Jersey to Philadelphia. There, he began making music with the moniker Johnny Utah. It was in January 2018 that Sullenger released his self-titled E.P., “Johnny Utah.” That year, he also launched the singles ‘Folding Like Honey,’ ‘PATTY,’ and ‘Crazy For Your Love.’ By November, he had compiled all former songs into his next album, “Big Dogs.” Then, in April 2019, Sullenger brought out the single ‘Honeypie,’ reaching several million listeners on Spotify. At the beginning of 2020, Sullenger was signed to Interscope Records, changing his stage name to Jawny, and in October of that year, he released his first major label project, the mixtape “For Abby.”

Sullenger is still a star on the rise in the music industry and is just getting his feet wet in these waters. As a singer forming part of the Hollywood music scene, this artist’s personal life is far from private. From mid-2019 to February 2020, Sullenger was in a romantic relationship with singer Doja Cat, but he is currently single and focusing on his music.
