Isis King

Background

Isis King is an American model whose commitment and personality earned her many fans. She’s a Libra, born on October 1, 1985, in Prince George’s County, Maryland. King was born a male, and like several transgender people, she believes she was born in the wrong body. She attended the Art Institute of Philadelphia and earned an associate degree in design and illustration. She then moved to New York to begin her gender transition.

In 2007, King made her television debut in an MSNBC special “Born in the Wrong Body.” That year, she began hormone replacement therapy and had her gender reassignment surgery in 2009. However, in 2008 she became one of the 14 finalists to appear in the 11th cycle of “America’s Next Top Model.” King placed 10th in the show, but in 2011, she returned to its first All-Star edition. This was the show’s 17th cycle, and she was one of the 14 returning models of the past “America’s Next Top Model” cycles. King was the third model to be eliminated from the show. King was very keen on her acting career as a model and reality T.V. star. In 2015, she played Sonja in three episodes of “The Bold and the Beautiful.” In 2016, King appeared in six episodes of the T.V. series “Strut,” and in 2019, she played Denise in “When They See Us.”

King got engaged to Desmond on “America’s Next Top Model,” but there’s no information about their possible marriage or divorce. We can presume that King is still legally single and sharing her success with friends and family.
