Dawn Farmer was born on May 3, 1999, in one of the most historic and breath-taking cities in England — York. Farmer grew up, went to school, and still resides in York with her older sister and current flatmate, Georgia Baigrie. Farmer began studying for her Bachelor’s degree in Education at York St John University in 2017. She graduated in 2020 —the same year her TikTok career took off.

In September 2020, Farmer — just like the rest of the world — was bored at home and looking for something to distract her from the Covid Pandemic. She decided to start her TikTok account, with her first video being “Questions For Americans,” which received more than 1,000 likes and over 10,000 views. After her first video, she continued making videos in which she reviewed different American foods and snacks. She was immediately recognized as a TikTok star because she was featured in a “People” magazine article regarding a TikTok trend a few months later.

Farmer’s ranch dressing opinions started in 2021 when she learned about the existence of ranch dressing and decided to try it in one of her videos, which went viral soon after posting it. Not only is ranch dressing one of her favorite things in life, but when looking at her most recent Instagram post, her list of favorite things went up. Famer has been traveling since January with Alex McLeod and wished him a happy birthday by referring to him as her ‘special human’ in an “Instagram” post.
