California Admission Day is observed on September 9 each year. It commemorates the day California was admitted into the Union as the 31st state in 1850 after it was ceded to the United States by Mexico in 1848. California became one of the few states to become a state without first being an organized territory. California Admission Day is not a federal holiday. Rather, it’s a local observance in the state, which implies that businesses, schools, and government offices remain open. In times gone by it was celebrated with great pomp and ceremony with parades and pageantry. Though low-key now, the day still marks an important part of Californian history.
Global Talent Acquisition Day

Global Talent Acquisition Day is celebrated every year on the first Wednesday in September. This year, it falls on September 3. This international holiday was introduced in 2018 by K.R.T. Marketing, a talent acquisition agency offering its services to companies worldwide. It recognizes the contributions of talent acquisition professionals to employers and organizations everywhere. After all, many companies wouldn’t have any labor at all without the efforts of talent acquisition agents. They recruit employees with the right skills and qualifications, playing a critical role in the job sector. Talent acquisition professionals are often overlooked. Their job is obscure but essential, and they deserve a holiday in their honor.
Mouthguard Day

Mouthguard Day is celebrated annually on the first Monday of September. This year the day will be celebrated on September 1. If you love sports and do it, you probably at least know what mouthguards — also known as gumshields — are, or even wear them yourself. Although the main purpose of mouthguards is to protect those who do active sports from knocking their teeth out of their mouths, there are other reasons why caps are worn. On Mouthguard Day, we celebrate these wonderful inventions and the beautiful smiles they have served and protected for many years.
