National Payton Slaymaker Day takes place every March 11 and is named in honor of Claypool, Indiana native Payton Slaymaker, who succumbed to a rare form of brain cancer at the age of 10 in 2021. She was diagnosed with diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma (D.I.P.G.) in 2019, an aggressive form of cancer that resulted in the growth of an inoperable tumor. Her condition and fight against the illness have drawn support across the United States, with many being inspired by her bravery against impossible odds. Her story has helped increase awareness of D.I.P.G.
National Dishwasher Day

Every year, National Dishwasher Day is celebrated on March 9 to highlight what a great innovation the dishwasher is. This device has actually changed our lives because doing the dishes is considered one of the most hated household chores. But thanks to some innovators, houses across the U.S now have a dishwasher and they don’t need to spend hours washing dishes under the sink. All we have to do is load the dishes in the washer, press a few buttons, and voila! And yes, dishwashers are also great time savers! If you hate washing dishes as much as the average Joe, this is a day that you must celebrate with a bang.
Electronic Greetings Day

Electronic Greetings Day is on November 29, and we celebrate by sending e-cards to every person on our contact list that we haven’t chatted with in a while. Can you imagine that only 5% of Americans were on social media in 2005? E-cards, also known as electronic cards, are digital greeting cards or postcards created using digital media. These cards are usually sent via email or social media and don’t require the recipient to print them out. E-cards can contain animation and text and are of various types, including video e-cards, e-cards games, mobile e-cards, and flash animation.
