Sailor Moon Day, celebrated on August 6 every year, celebrates one of the most popular manga and anime series, Sailor Moon. The series starts with a small, very talkative black cat and a young girl, Usagi Tsukino. Usagi received a brooch that helped transform her into the titular Sailor Moon. After that, a team of Sailor Guardians comes together. They then set out to save the world from enemies that come their way. This series, both the manga and the anime, have attracted lots of fans from all over the world, so it’s no surprise that it was chosen to be specially celebrated on a particular day.
Assistance Dog Day

Assistance Dog Day is celebrated on August 4 every year. Dogs are a man’s best friend because of their loyalty and dedication, but assistant dogs take this to a whole new level. These dogs help people with disabilities or illnesses to navigate through life. They help where they can and perform simple tasks like guiding their owner’s path, helping fetch an item, and lots of other activities. These dogs and their trainers deserve to be celebrated, and so this brought about Assistance Dog Day which aims to raise funds and increase awareness of the work they do. It makes up part of International Assistance Dog Week.
International Clouded Leopard Day

International Clouded Leopard Day is celebrated on August 4 every year. It is celebrated to raise awareness of one of the most beautiful and endangered species of animals — the Clouded Leopard — in a bid to improve their numbers both in captivity and in the wild. This animal is known by other names, one of them being the mainland clouded leopard. These species of wild cats inhabit dense forests from the foothills of the Himalayas through mainland Southeast Asia into the south of China. Estimates show fewer than 10,000 Clouded leopards living in the wild. These shy and nocturnal animals are an endangered species as they are illegally hunted for their fur, and also because their habitat is constantly being threatened.
