Zachery Ty Bryan

Background

Zachery Ty Bryan is an actor from the U.S. who is best known for his role as Brad Taylor on “Home Improvement.” He was born in Aurora, Colorado, to Jenny and Dwight Bryan. Bryan started his career as a model in local print and television advertisements. He later appeared at a showcase in New York City where he was discovered by a talent representative. Soon later, Bryan was cast to play ‘Brad,’ the first child of Taylor, in the television show, “Home Improvement.” Bryan’s character in the sitcom is known to always get into trouble and experiment with different hairstyles.

While filming “Home Improvement,” Bryan made an appearance as ‘Steve’ on “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.” After “Home Improvement,” Bryan took a three-year break from acting. He came back to the scene with brief appearances in “Buffy the Vampire Slayer,”(2002), “Veronica Mars,”(2005), and “Shark,”(2006). Additionally, Bryan made a guest appearance on an episode of “Reading Rainbow,” and a cameo appearance on M.T.V. ‘s, “I Bet You Will.” In 2003, Bryan played ‘Eric Marsh,’ a high school baseball player using steroids in “Smallville.”

He played the role of a school bully in the 1996 comedy, “First Kid.” Bryan also starred in the 1995 movie “Magic Island” and the T.V. movie “The Principal Takes a Holiday.” In 2006, Bryan appeared once more to play the villain named ‘Clay’ in “The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift.” Bryan has four kids with his ex-wife, Carly Matros: Taylor Simone, Gemma Rae, Jordana Nicole, and Pierce Alexander Bryan. He also has another child, Kennedy Faye, with his fiancé, Johnnie Cartwright, and they’re expecting a set of twins in 2023.
