Safaree Samuels is an American rapper, songwriter, reality star, businessman, and television presenter. He was born to immigrant Jamaican parents, along with his two sisters, Shamika and Samantha, and raised in the Brooklyn borough of New York City. In his younger years, he attended Midwood High School. He began his career in the early 2000s in a rap group called “The Hood$tars,” with cohorts Nicki Minaj, Lou$tar, and Seven Up. Samuels released his first studio album “Straitt” in 2020. He married model, TV personality, and actress Erica Mena a year earlier, and they welcomed a child in 2020 and another in 2021. The relationship did not last long as the couple filed for divorce in 2021.
