Animals was born on July 3, 1988, in Stanmore, northwest London, and his zodiac sign is Cancer. He has English ethnicity, and he comes from a working-class family.

His family was skeptical about his electronic music career and shipped him off to university. He studied History and Law at Nottingham University and went to work for a firm doing commercial law. After a while, he lost his job and started working as a barman and an advertising salesman. He balanced this with making music in his spare time and hired Marc Fineman as his manager in 2013. In the same year, he released his debut E.P., “Bugged Out” — it got him loads of attention and helped him land a deal with Simon Cowell’s Syco Records in 2015. He appeared as a featured artist on Belgian singer Netsky’s ‘Rio.’ The song established Animals as a star.
