Colorful military parades assemble to pledge their loyalty to their ruling monarch, and thousands of honored guests attend the Agong’s birthday luncheon. Most of them are senior government officials, military commanders, and other members of Malaysian royalty.

H.M. Queen’s Birthday on June 3 is a day to celebrate the birth of the Queen of Thailand, Queen Suthida. The day was deemed a public holiday with schools and most businesses closed, allowing them to join in the celebrations. Thailand honors its royal family well and so for the queen’s birthday, citizens wave the country’s flag and pictures of her all over. The most beautiful celebrations are held on Ratchadamnoen Avenue in Bangkok, and on the streets near the king’s palace.
