National Lincoln Loud Day

National Lincoln Loud Day on June 5 celebrates the fictional character Lincoln Loud in Nickelodeon’s animated television series “The Loud House.” Lincoln Loud, the sixth oldest of nine children, is the middle child and only son of the Loud family. Although Lincoln thinks of himself as a fun-loving guy who always loves partying, this isn’t exactly true. Somewhat lazy, he often comes up with a plan, which usually doesn’t succeed, and, more often than not, blows up in his face when they do happen. Extremely loud, even hyena-like at times, he’s an exaggerated version of a person his age.

Martyrdom Day of Sri Guru Arjun Dev Ji

Guru Arjun Dev Ji Martyrdom Day or the ‘Shaheedi Diwas’ is on June 18 this year. It holds every year on Day 24 of Jeth — the third month in the Sikh calendar. This day is of great religious value to Sikhs worldwide. Guru Arjun Dev Ji was the first martyr of the Sikh religion and is known for his great work. People organize religious events on this day and read the “Sri Guru Granth Sahib.” They also distribute food in the ‘langars’ of the ‘gurudwara’ — a community eating practice whereby all visitors receive free food.

Tiara Day

Tiara Day is an international holiday that is celebrated on May 24 every year. It is a holiday used to empower women and celebrate them for their amazing contributions to the home and society. A tiara is a piece of jewelry worn on the head of a woman that represents intelligence and strength. Every woman deserves a crown for the work that they do every day, and that is why Tiara Day was set aside to remind women to celebrate themselves and for others to appreciate all their hard work. Giving power to women benefits society as a whole, as women are responsible for the continuation and raising of future generations.
