National Bunion Day

Treace Medical Concepts, Inc. established National Bunion Day™ (NBD) in 2024 to educate the public on common misconceptions about the cause of bunions and to highlight the most effective treatment options available.

Around 65 million Americans are affected by bunions.1 While there are many misconceptions that bunions are caused by constrained footwear or standing for long periods of time, the reality is many are caused by hereditary defects or anatomical imbalances of the foot.2

Although bunions might look like a simple bump, they are actually complex deformities caused by an unstable joint in the middle of the foot.3 Bunions will not go away on their own and can worsen overtime if left untreated, making medical intervention necessary for correcting the problem.4

National Picky Eaters Day

Parents, we see you trying your best to get your kids to eat right — and we’re here for you. Every mealtime, you put on your referee jersey and try to negotiate peace between the food on the plate and the picky eater across the table. A recent survey of 2,000 parents conducted on behalf of SeaPak, America’s No. 1 frozen shrimp brand, found that the average American parent spends up to 67 hours a year in such negotiations with their picky eaters. But fear not: April 4 is National Picky Eaters Day, the holiday that celebrates the small victories, like when a kid actually tries something new (and likes it!). Whether you’re dealing with a PB&J purist or a buttered-noodle enthusiast, this day is all about making mealtime a little easier — and a lot tastier.

Evolution of Dance Day

Dance has been a fundamental part of human culture for centuries, constantly evolving with new styles, trends, and influences. Evolution of Dance Day on April 6 celebrates the creativity, energy, and nostalgia of dance while paying tribute to Judson Laipply, whose viral video “Evolution of Dance” captivated millions and became one of the earliest internet sensations.

Whether you’re breaking it down to ’80s pop, mastering hip-hop moves, or just having fun, this day is all about appreciating the joy of movement.
