International Permaculture Day is celebrated on the first Sunday in May every year and this year will be marked on May 3. It serves as a day to remind people to embrace behaviors that promote productive, environmentally-friendly, and primarily self-sufficient homes and communities. The earth is ours to cater to, and we should do what we can to ensure it stays a safe place for us to inhabit, as the other side of the coin comes with devastating effects. A permaculture design system consists of a collection of ethics, design principles, traits, and practices that organizations, communities, and people may build practical applications on.
Gathering of Nations (Pow Wow)

We are celebrating the Gathering of Nations from April 23 to 25. It is an annual event that hosts several cultural and traditional activities. The day starts on the fourth weekend of April, from Thursday to Saturday. The Gathering of Nations is one of the largest powwow events and it is usually organized in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The powwow is a celebration of the indigenous American Indian culture. People from diverse tribes and nations gather together on this day for a feast for the eyes with traditional dances, songs, and rituals to honor the traditions and culture of their ancestors.
Laylatul Qadr

The Night of Power, also known as Laylatul Qadr, falls on the odd-numbered nights of the last ten days of Ramadan, which is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar. This year, it falls on March 16. It is considered the holiest night of the year, according to Islam. Muslims believe that Angel Jibril (Gabriel) delivered the first verses of the Holy Qur’an to Prophet Muhammad on this night. It is believed to be a time when sins are forgiven and supplications are accepted, and the annual decree of people is revealed to the angels by God.
