Jovita Moore

Background

Jovita Moore, born on October 4, 1967, was an American news anchor who spent about 23 years at W.S.B.-T.V. She was born in New York, United States. Her astrological sign was Libra, and she was of African American descent. She was a native New Yorker who preferred to call Atlanta home. Jovita obtained several academic credentials. She graduated from the University of New York School of Journalism with a Master of Science Degree in Broadcast Journalism. She also studied for a Bachelor of Arts at Bennington College.

She began working as a news anchor at K.F.S.M.-T.V. when she was 23 years old. Moore worked at the station mentioned above until 1993 when she moved on to W.M.C.-T.V., where she worked until her death. She was the anchor of “Channel 2 Action News” at 5 p.m., 6 p.m., and 11 p.m. She received numerous honorary awards and accolades for her achievements. Despite having such a wonderful career, Moore faced numerous health issues. She was initially diagnosed with two brain tumors, which were successfully removed, and later diagnosed with glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer that eventually killed her in 2021. Jovita was a dedicated mother and served in several non-profit organizations that mentored and educated people on various issues. Moore had two biological children and a stepdaughter. The only known information on her love life is that she married Sean Christian, from whom she divorced in 2014. From the first time she appeared on T.V., Moore won the hearts of many, and she will be remembered for her work.
