Alicia Silverstone was born on October 4, 1976, in Hillsborough, California, to Monty Silverstone and Deidre Radford. She has half-siblings from her father’s previous marriage. She has a typical upper-middle-class upbringing and grew up in San Francisco. She started modeling at the age of six, after which she starred in her first television commercial for Domino’s Pizza. Silverstone went to Crocker Middle and San Mateo High Schools. In 1992, she played her first credited role in the show “The Wonder Years.” Her performance was highly praised by critics and the audience, and she won an award for her role. However, their marriage only lasted 13 years, and they divorced in November 2018. Without ceasing to inspire, Silverstone published a vegan cookbook titled “The Kind Diet” in 2009. Later on, her second book, “The Kind Mama,” was published in 2014. She is a PETA supporter and an animal rights activist. She is also a committed environmentalist.
