Background

Harry Edward Styles is one of the most successful British artists of modern times. Styles was born in Worcestershire, England and his zodiac sign is Aquarius. His father is Desmond Styles, and his mother is Anne Twist. His parents divorced when he was seven years old, and he grew up with his mother. However, Styles says he has a good relationship with his father and he had a wonderful childhood.

Styles’ grandfather gave him a karaoke machine when he was a child, which helped him practice his singing skills. He was the lead singer for his teenage band called White Eskimo. In 2010, when he was 16 years old, his mother persuaded him to audition for “The X Factor,” and he did. He performed Stevie Wonder’s ‘Isn’t She Lovely?’ Later, he was teamed up with four other singers and, as a group, they finished third on the show. Simon Cowell saw an opportunity, and One Direction was formed.

Beginning in 2011, One Direction released a studio album every year until 2015. They were all very successful. After releasing their fourth album, “Four” (2014), One Direction became the first music band to have all four albums debut at number one on the Billboard 200. In 2016, One Direction went on an indefinite break.

Styles released his first solo album in 2017 titled “Sign of the Times.” That same year, he also featured in his first movie, “Dunkirk” (2017) — he played the role of Alex, a British soldier. Styles released his second album, “Fine Line,” in 2019, and the album got him his first Grammy award. Styles has sold millions of records as a soloist and a band member.
