NBC has announced that popular content creator Druski will serve as a special commentator for the upcoming 29th season of 'The Voice', which is being billed as 'The Voice: Battle of Champions'. Druski, known for his comedy sketches and music festival Coulda Fest, will provide commentary on the coaches' strategies and track the competition's 'Triple Turn' and 'Super Steal' elements.
Why it matters
The addition of Druski, a rising social media influencer, signals NBC's efforts to attract a younger audience to 'The Voice'. His involvement is part of the network's plan to 'infuse' the singing competition show with more fast-paced, sports-inspired elements.
The details
Druski broke out in 2021 with the launch of his Coulda Been Records platform, which allowed musicians to appear on his popular Instagram Live sessions. He has also self-produced comedy and music shows. Druski courted some controversy earlier this year at the NFL Honors when he mispronounced a player's name. As 'The Voice' commentator, Druski will be the first ever in that role for the show, and is expected to be joined by various NBA stars throughout the season.
- The Voice: Battle of Champions premieres on February 23, 2026.
