What they’re saying

“We had outstanding shots today. Lila's (Scherer-Sickler) left-footed volley from Josie's (Phare) crossbar hit, everything was looking good today from the girls.”

— Zac Keeler, Durango head coach

“We were working a lot on one-two combination plays and two touches on the ball. Whenever we pick our heads up and see the runs that everybody's making that we've worked hard to create, that's really working well to create space and opportunities in the box.”

— Ellis Campbell, Durango junior

What’s next

Durango will look to continue its strong start to the season when it hosts Montrose on Friday at 5 p.m.

The takeaway

Durango's dominant performance showcased the team's offensive firepower and defensive solidity, cementing the Demons as a force to be reckoned with in the region. Their ability to quickly turn defense into offense and find the back of the net from multiple sources makes them a challenging opponent for any team.
