While en route, a witness reported the suspects had exited the vehicle and were walking westbound on Florida Street. Police located the two suspects on the front porch of a residence and detained them without incident. A witness told officers they saw the suspects handling a firearm and heard what they believed to be a single gunshot before police arrived. Video footage later reviewed by police showed one of the suspects firing a round into the air shortly before officers reached the scene. With the help of a K-9 unit, police recovered a loaded firearm with an extended magazine concealed on the front porch, as well as a spent shell casing nearby.
