The City of South Lake Tahoe is holding an open house on Wednesday, February 18 to discuss incorporating the South 'Y' Industrial Tract into the Tahoe Valley Area Plan (TVAP). The South 'Y' Industrial Tract Community Plan was first adopted in 2003 to encourage industrial-type commercial uses and public services to relocate to the area, but the incentives have not been utilized as envisioned. The city has experienced a shift in commercial trends and is now looking to integrate the industrial tract into the broader TVAP.

Light refreshments will be provided, and the event is come-and-go, so residents can stop by when convenient. The South 'Y' Industrial Tract generally includes properties south of D Street, between Industrial Avenue and Lake Tahoe Boulevard, including all properties accessed from Shop Street and Industrial Avenue.
