Introduction
Crane's Country Store, a 4th generation, family-run general store, has been making sandwiches on white bread since the invention of sliced bread. Crane's sammies have been a staple in central Missouri for over 135 years. Located in Williamsburg, MO since 1926, Crane's has been the gathering place for farmers, construction workers, moms, dads and kids to share a cold pop and a sammie. Simple as can be: 1 meat, 1 cheese on white bread, 2 dollars.
Why We Love National 1 Meat 1 Cheese 2 Dollar Day
Family Tradition
We've made sandwiches since sliced bread and lunchmeat were invented, a proud service of our general store.
Community Minded
The sandwiches bring people together and it becomes like a community center where people gather. Customers can stop in and enjoy a sammie on the porch in warm weather, or indoors at the "Liars Club" by the wood-burning stove when the air is chilly.
Quirky Throwback
It is a quirky throwback to simple times, just 1 meat, 1 cheese, and white bread, 2 dollars. A call back to a simpler time when general stores were a town gathering place.
