The Platteville boys track and field team won the 20-team Lancaster Invitational last Thursday, scoring 110.5 points to edge out runner-up Dodgeville/Mineral Point. The Platteville girls placed eighth with 41 points, while the host Lancaster girls won the team title with 102.5 points. The Platteville boys were led by strong relay teams, with the 4x400 squad of Marshal Rooney, Cash Peterson, Max Peterson and Louie Peterson winning in 3:45.71, and the 4x800 team of Louie Peterson, Liam Davis, Evan DeBuhr and Kaleb Osborne taking first in 8:55.26. Jesy Riniker won the high jump at 6 feet, while Tyler Sasse was third at 5'8" and also placed second in the triple jump at 39'6". On the girls' side, Lancaster was paced by the Olmstead sisters, with Kylie winning the 400 and Lexie taking the 200 and long jump.
