Advanced AI-powered field mapping technology takes precision agriculture to new heights, empowering farmers to work smarter and more sustainably.Issaquah TodayFive Star Cooperative, a leading farmer-owned agricultural cooperative in Iowa, is partnering with TerraClear to bring AI-powered field intelligence to its growers. The partnership will deliver TerraClear's Rock Mapping and Weed Mapping technologies across 110,000 acres, helping farmers work smarter, reduce costs, and improve productivity.
Why it matters
This partnership highlights how advanced technologies like AI-powered field mapping can transform modern agriculture. By providing precise, data-driven insights, farmers can make more informed decisions, optimize inputs, and operate more sustainably - ultimately boosting profitability and efficiency across their operations.
The details
The partnership will start with 10,000 acres of Rock Mapping in 2026, followed by 100,000 acres of Weed Mapping using TerraClear's autonomous field scout, TerraScout, in Spring 2027. TerraClear Rock Maps allow growers to find up to 3x more rocks and remove them up to 3x faster, reducing rock-picking costs by an estimated $20 per acre. TerraScout scouts entire fields, identifies weeds by species and density, and provides maps and actionable recommendations in real time, reducing guesswork and enabling more precise, sustainable input application.
