What they’re saying
“You see the teams that win it, and you kind of understand what it takes. That's just doing the little details. The loose balls. The 50-50 balls become 75-25 balls because your guys are working so much harder.”
— Ethan Harris (Clark County Today)
“Anything can happen in the playoffs, so we have to be ready for everything. But my team is full of dawgs. We're going to come out and compete no matter who it is.”
— Brooklynn Haywood (Clark County Today)
“I want people to remember me by looking up in the rafters and seeing a picture of our team, with right below it, '4A state champions.' That's what I've visualized every single day since my sister got it.”
— Ethan Harris (Clark County Today)
“My biggest goal is winning state. My team's got my back, and I've got theirs. In order to do that, we have to compete every single game. We have enough skill … It's about competing.”
— Brooklynn Haywood (Clark County Today)
What’s next
The winners of the Camas-Kentwood and Union-Bonney Lake quarterfinal games will advance to the bi-district semifinals, with a chance to qualify for the state tournament. The losers will drop into the consolation bracket for more opportunities to make it to state.
The takeaway

Their competitive drive and leadership are inspiring their teammates as they aim to cap their high school careers with a state championship.
