A 24-year-old Woodbridge, Virginia man has pleaded guilty to sexually exploiting more than 40 minor girls between the ages of 12 and 17 over a seven-month period in 2020. Malachi Morgan Thomas used a stolen Snapchat account to threaten and coerce the victims, some of whom suffered from mental health issues, into creating and sending him child sexual abuse material.

In one instance, Thomas traveled to another state to have sex with a victim, which he recorded and saved to his Snapchat account. Police discovered the abuse after searching one of Thomas' cell phones.
