SPARC, a nonprofit organization that provides day programs for adults with disabilities, is opening a new center in Alexandria, Virginia this week. The new location joins SPARC's network of centers across Northern Virginia that offer continued education, skill-building, exercise, arts classes, excursions, and other activities for young adults with disabilities who have aged out of special education support. At the opening ceremony, SPARC will also unveil a new Mobile Exploration Lab, a controlled multisensory environment on wheels designed to meet a variety of sensory needs.

In addition to the new Alexandria center, SPARC has locations in Fairfax, Arlington, and Loudoun counties.
