A fractured, cubist depiction of the high-intensity action on the baseball diamond as Tyler Legacy battles Forney for a crucial district win.Tyler TodayThe Tyler Legacy baseball team fell to Forney, 7-3, on Tuesday night at Mike Carter Field. Forney's leadoff batters reached base in six of the seven innings, leading to the Jackrabbits' victory. The loss complicates Legacy's chase for the District 10-6A championship, as they now sit at 8-3 in district play with one game remaining.
Why it matters

Legacy got a run back in the bottom half on a sacrifice fly by Cale Zips. Forney added a run in the third on another Chaney sacrifice fly to make it 3-1. The Jackrabbits then scored two more in the fourth on an RBI single by Giordano and an error that brought in another run, extending the lead to 5-1. Legacy got two runs back in the bottom of the fourth on an RBI triple by Brady Pollard, but that's as close as they would get, as Forney added two more runs late to seal the 7-3 victory.
