Canyon ISD Athletes Earn TGCA Class 4A All-State Basketball Honors

Several student-athletes from Canyon Independent School District have been named to the Texas Girls Coaches Association (TGCA) Class 4A All-State Basketball teams. Canyon High School placed four players on the prestigious list, including seniors Addison Cunningham, Kambrie Graser, and Tai Wright, as well as junior Theresa Mode. Randall High School also had two players, junior point guard Kennah Thomas and freshman guard Chloe Brown, earn TGCA Class 4A All-State honors.

The details

Under the leadership of veteran head coach Tate Lombard, the Canyon Lady Eagles advanced to the Region I-4A Division I Finals this past season. Randall High School, led by coach Brooke Walthall, saw its season end in the Class 4A Division II Regional Quarterfinals. In addition to the TGCA All-State honors, Canyon's Graser and Wright also earned TGCA Class 4A Academic All-State recognition, while Canyon's Cunningham, Graser, and Wright were named to the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches (TABC) Class 4A All-State and Academic All-State teams.
