However, most of the other Midland-area qualifiers suffered first-round defeats.

In the TAPPS 4A tournament, Trinity's Ava Overby beat Pasadena First Baptist Christian Academy's Adelyn Stewart 6-2, and Trinity's Enqi Zhang defeated Carrollton Prince of Peace Christian's Maddie Hostetter 6-2, 7-6 (7-3) in the first round of girls singles. In the TAPPS 5A tournament, the Midland Christian girls doubles team of Addison Jacobs and Kenna Vandergrift beat Sugar Land Logos Prep's Hope Blazek and Abby Ivey 7-6 (7-2), 6-4 in the first round of girls doubles. In the TAPPS 4A boys doubles tournament, the Midland Classical team of Roman Pederson and Deacon Jones defeated Plano John Paul II Catholic's Samuel Widhelm and Konner Turner 6-1, 6-1 in the first round.
