The Austin Independent School District's School Health Advisory Council (SHAC) is holding its monthly meeting, which is open to the public. The SHAC is a board-appointed advisory group made up of parents, community members, students, and school staff who work together to improve the health of all students and families through coordinated school health programs.

The details

The SHAC meeting will be held virtually. The agenda and other meeting details can be found online. By law, the SHAC must have a majority of members who are parents of students enrolled in the district and who are not district employees.

  • The SHAC meets on a Wednesday of every month, except July and August, from 6:00–7:30 p.m.
