Acting on a tip, agents with the Kershaw County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Unit, Special Response Team, SLED, and Camden Police executed search warrants at a home on Dixon Road. They seized multiple firearms, including a box of 7.92 Mauser ammunition, as well as quantities of fentanyl, methamphetamine, crack cocaine, and marijuana. Five adults - Brandon Dixon, Jerisann Boozer, Ashley Aquino, Jamaal Portee, and McArthur Roseborough - were arrested and charged with various drug offenses. During the search, deputies also found about eight dogs and 20 puppies that were malnourished and covered in parasites, several dead animals, and an underweight and injured pig. Dixon was additionally charged with 29 counts of animal cruelty, including torture, and four counts of failing to bury dead animals.
