Lacrosse standout Alyssa Lovgren and baseball star Julian Danko earn honors

Freeport High School junior Alyssa Lovgren and Valley High School senior Julian Danko have been named the A-K Valley Athletes of the Week for their standout performances in lacrosse and baseball, respectively.

The details

Lovgren scored four goals and had four assists in Freeport's 14-1 win over Knoch in Section 2-2A girls lacrosse. She then produced three goals and two assists in a 15-5 victory against Hampton. Danko had a dominant outing on the mound for Valley, striking out 12 batters in a complete game shutout win.
