He is survived by his son, William J. 'Jim' Hoffman, as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Hoffman was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret 'Lucy' Roxberry Hoffman, and his daughter, Margaret 'Peg' Fitzgerald.
