The male suspect allegedly broke a woman's car window and pointed a gun at the woman and her adult sons before fleeing the scene carrying a duffel bag. Police officers from Westlake and Bay Village established a perimeter and deployed drones to search for the suspect. A drone operator spotted the suspect lying in some brush just after 1 a.m., and when the man refused to surrender, police fired pepper balls, prompting him to give up. Officers recovered a 9mm Smith & Wesson handgun from the suspect's duffel bag.
