NBC 4 New York, Telemundo 47, and Stop & Shop are bringing back their annual "Feeding Our Families" / "Alimentando a Nuestras Familias" food drive and volunteer recruitment campaign. The event will take place on Saturday, April 25, 2026 at nearly 180 Stop & Shop locations across the tri-state area. Shoppers are encouraged to donate non-perishable food items and personal hygiene products to support local food banks.

Why it matters

The Feeding Our Families drive helps address food insecurity in the region by collecting much-needed donations for eight regional food banks. The event also recruits volunteers to assist with food distribution and other hunger relief efforts in local communities.

The details

Shoppers can donate non-perishable food items and personal care products like diapers at participating Stop & Shop locations. A list of the most requested donation items will be provided to shoppers. Volunteers will also be on hand to accept donations and provide information about getting involved with local food banks and hunger relief organizations.
