Casper's hometown curling club, the Ardsley Curling Club in Hudson, New York, has organized a watch party at Demeter's Tavern in Tarrytown to cheer on the American squad as they face off against Norway in a crucial round-robin match.

The details

Casper, a Westchester native, has curling in his blood - his great aunt Carla Casper competed at the 1988 Winter Olympics, and his father signed him up for the sport when he was 12 years old. The current U.S. team, which also includes Luc Violette, Ben Richardson, Aidan Oldenburg, and alternate Rich Ruohonen, had to defeat the veteran Team Shuster at the U.S. Olympic Curling Trials to earn their spot in Milan Cortina.
