The details
The first five innings were a pitchers' duel, with Delbarton's Ted Masino and Don Bosco's Thomas Collins combining for 15 strikeouts. Don Bosco took a 1-0 lead in the top of the sixth on an RBI fielder's choice by Matt Denoyelles. But in the bottom half, Delbarton's Sal Garcia came through with a 2-out, 3-run double to give the Green Wave a 3-1 lead. In the seventh, Don Bosco threatened with runners on first and second and two outs, but Garcia made an incredible leaping catch to end the game.
