The snowstorm on Friday and Saturday dumped measurable wet snow, but by Saturday the 40-degree temperatures had melted most of it away. The Sheyenne Bar was packed on Saturday night with a two-piece live band playing classic country and Americana rock to a standing-room-only crowd of friends, neighbors, and families celebrating the holiday weekend. Grace Lutheran Church held an Easter sunrise service with a breakfast following, led by Lowell Larson, Dan Birkeland, Tyler and Kynlee Zieman, and Deb Zieman. The Larson farm hosted the annual Easter egg hunt and egg roll race for nieces and nephews, where the Hager and Sylling kids found 69 of the 72 eggs hidden around the farm. Easter dinner was hosted by Greg and Cindy Hegland, with family members traveling from Fargo, Bismarck, Maddock, and Valley City to attend.
