Aer Lingus has launched its inaugural nonstop service between Dublin and Raleigh-Durham International Airport, marking the first-ever direct flight between Ireland and North Carolina. The new route, operating up to five times weekly on Aer Lingus' Airbus A321XLR aircraft, will strengthen ties between Ireland and the dynamic Research Triangle region, home to major universities and leading tech and biotech companies.

The details

The new Dublin-Raleigh-Durham service operates up to five times weekly, with flight EI85 departing Dublin at 3:25 PM and arriving in Raleigh-Durham at 6:55 PM, and the return flight EI84 leaving Raleigh-Durham at 8:25 PM and landing in Dublin at 8:45 AM the next day. The 3,601-mile flight is blocked at 8 hours 30 minutes westbound and 7 hours 20 minutes eastbound. The Airbus A321XLR features 184 seats, including 16 business class and 168 economy class.
