Imax and Apple TV are partnering to bring five of the most iconic Grands Prix in the 2026 FIA Formula One World Championship live to select big screen locations across the U.S. The races include the Miami, Monaco, Silverstone, Monza, and United States Grands Prix. This marks the first time F1 races will be available for live viewing in Imax theaters in the U.S., expanding the inaugural season of Apple TV as the official U.S. broadcaster of the racing series.
Why it matters
The deal builds on the success of the Apple Studios film "F1: The Movie," which was the top-grossing Imax Hollywood release of 2025 and set a new box office record for sports movies globally. Bringing live F1 races to Imax theaters will further amplify the growing popularity of the sport in the U.S. market, where new race locations in Las Vegas, Miami, and Austin have been added to the calendar.

The five Grands Prix that will be screened live in Imax theaters are the Miami Grand Prix on May 3, the Monaco Grand Prix on June 7, the British Grand Prix at Silverstone on July 5, the Italian Grand Prix at Monza on September 6, and the United States Grand Prix in Austin on October 25. The live screenings will be available in at least 50 Imax locations across the U.S.
